If you have already begun optimising your website for search engine traffic, maybe with our Traffic Accelerator, you understand the principles of keyword usage. The downfall of keyword optimisation is that your website is usually limited to only a few keyword phrases because of the number of site pages you have suitable to serve as landing pages for the search engines.

Site Revitalizer intends to expand the content of your website by adding two or three additional optimised landing pages of each core page. By expanding content in this way, you can have each new landing page optimised for a further keyword phrase. The more keyword phrases your website is optimised for, the more keyword searches will include you in their top results, and the more traffic you can generate from search engines.

Keyword Strategy

You may already have a keyword strategy as a result of previous search engine optimisation campaigns. If not, it is important you identify the most effective keywords that can be used for your site.     We identify the most commonly searched phrases you would expect your prospective customers to use
    We identify the 'long-tails'. These are phrases related to the most obvious searches. For example, ‘iPod' is a common search phrase, whereas 'iPod Australia ' is a less common search whilst still being very relevant.
    A count of searches is performed monthly for each phrase
    We can then identify which phrases could realistically see your website in the top of the search results. For new websites, these are usually the less popularly searched phrases.

Page Expansion

The easiest example to use would be if one of your current product pages contains three products. By reworking the page to include links to separate pages with expanded content for each product, you can maximise the keyword phrases for each product without the risk of conflicting messages within one page.

But even without different products, it is possible to expand a page into three or more. For example, our own website expanded the domain name front page by attaching three additional pages entitled ‘international domain names’, ‘Australian domain names’ and ‘what is a domain name?’ providing further detailed information for the interested customer. By doing so, you not only provide additional items of interest for your visitors, but you increase rank in the search engines for each of those phrases. Hopefully, every query entered into a search engine wanting to find out ‘what is a domain name?’ will be presented with a link to our specially prepared landing page that will bring them to our site.
