How we use link acquisition to manage your website promotion
Our new links database has come online. This is an internal application that allows us to more efficiently manage your link acquisition and, hence your popularity building.
The more links there are to your website, the more recommendations you have, the more popular your website appears and the higher you travel up the search results. For every phrase on your website.
How the links database helps
The links database includes a list of websites that have a directory of external links to other websites. To be included these websites must have been determined to represent an excellent place for our customers to be listed and promoted. These websites that have met our strict criteria for inclusion.
We use software that allows us to identify websites that have high popularity themselves (lots of good incoming links), but whose outgoing links are low in proportion. If their popularity-to-link ratio is sufficiently low they will be included in the links database.
We have a dedicated links team whose job it is to identify these websites. And that's all they do!
Acquiring links from expert websites
Expert websites are government websites, educational websites and directories unaffiliated with commercial websites.
The database includes a large list of expert websites we have, and continue to identify as good places to list our customer websites. Expert sites don't usually require you to link to them, so we will list your website on these directories and you won't be required to do anything.
Acquiring links from semantically relevant websites
Semantically relevant websites are those in your industry, or whose website content includes keyword phrases relevant to your business.
We are continually finding a lot of semantically relevant websites, who meet our qualifying criteria. These websites will promote you, but invariably require you to link back to them.
