Service Description: The service is an ADSL2 Internet connection with included data across peak and off-peak times. Excess data is charged on a per megabyte basis for downloads only up load is FREE. Shaping is available for ADSL2+ services, where the shaping point can be set for each individual end-user connection.

Web Secure provides ADSL2+ services with download speeds of up to 20Mbps.  Theoretically, ADSL2+ services have a maximum achievable speed of 24576/1024Kbps.  The actual speed of your service will depend upon a number of things, such as the distance between your premises and the telephone exchange, the quality of the copper telephone wires in your area, network load and your computer hardware. Telephony: Line rental is included as part of the monthly fee, of local calls plus long distance, international and fixed to mobile calls.

Coverage area: ADSL2 enabled exchange in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland, Tasmania and the Northern Territory.

A static IP is supplied with all ADSL2+ plans at $8.50 per month.

Data Conditions

Data usage is measured as downloads only to produce the billable and shapeable total.
Internet data is transmitted via a transparent cache.
Data uploaded to data downloaded is not to exceed a ratio of 3:1, respectively.
Peak time is defined as the time period between 9:00AM and 11:59PM of the same day.
Off-peak time is defined as the time period between 12:00AM and 8:59AM of the same day.

Shaping

The following shaping features will be available on the ADSL2+ plans:

30-day rolling cycle.
Able to define the shaping point and the shaped speed for each individual end-user connection.
Shaping will be applied across both the peak and off-peak periods and will be based on the amount of data downloaded during both periods.

30-day Rolling Cycle

The 30-day rolling cycle enables Web Secure to continue to provide premium services more efficiently. Each day, in the early hours of the morning, the previous 30-day data total is calculated. If this total exceeds teh selected shaping point then the connection will be shaped to the selected speed. Shaping will only apply as long as the previous 30-day total exceeds the selected shaping point. Once the 30-day total drops below the selected shaping point, shaping will be lifted.

Shaping Point & Shaped Speed

The default setting for all ADSL2+ plans will be no shaping. The shaping point and shaped speed for each individual end-user connection can be set. The shaping point and shaped speed on any given end-user connection can be changed at any time at a nominal fee of $25.

Setup Fees and Other Charges

A once-only setup fee of $179.00 applies if the end-user does not waive their CSG (Customer Service Obligation) install rights.
A once-only setup fee of $55.00 applies if the end-user does waive their CSG (Customer Service Obligation) install rights.
An early termination fee of $250.00, pro-rated over 12 months, applies if the telephony service is disconnected within the first 12 months of the contract.
A change of plan fee from an existing Web Secure ADSL1 service of $75.00 applies.
A relocation fee of $195.00 is applicable.
A business service/directory listing fee of $2.80 per month is applicable.
An order cancellation fee of $95 is applicable.
A fee of $95.00 applies for the loss of a Telstra handset.
A non-Web Secure Long Distance Pre-Select charge of $4.25 per month is applicable.

ADSL2+ Hardware and Set-up Options

DSL set-up costs vary depending on whether you supply you own hardware or purchase a Web Secure supplied modem/router. Customers transferring from another ISP can also save money if their current provider participates in the Rapid Transfer Program.
